Farmers have told the that they intend toplantg 340,000 acres of cotton this year, a 19 percentt increase over 2008. Corn acreagse is expected to be down 6 percenft overallat 650,000 acres. This is down 20,000 acres from Marchu intentions anddown 40,000 acre s from last year.
